This Criminal Original petition is filed to direct the second respondent to file the final report in Crime No.117 of 2017 and proceed with the same as per law.

2. According to the petitioner, based on his compliant, a case in Crime No.117 of 2017 has been registered on 27.07.2017, however, no final report has been filed. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. Heard Mr.R.Venkatesan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.C.Mayilvahana Rajendran learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the Deputy Superintendent of Police is the competent authority to investigate the case since the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

offence is under SC/ST Act, the second respondent police is directed to file a final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
