Respondents Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to give notional promotion to the petitioner as per original seniority list as on 01.04.2008 and re-arrange his seniority in the Assistant Manager Seniority list, on the basis of his representation dated 13.11.2017.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to give notional promotion to the petitioner as per original seniority list as on 01.04.2008 and re-arrange his seniority in the Assistant Manager Seniority list, on the basis of his representation, dated 13.11.2017.

2.According to the petitioner, he made a representation on 13.11.2017 to the respondents to revise the seniority list and also to grant notional promotion to him as per the original seniority as on 01.04.2008, but no order has been passed on the said representation.

3.A counter affidavit has been filed by the second respondent denying the claim made by the petitioner.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that in the event of this Court passing an order to consider the petitioner's representation, the second respondent will pass detailed orders, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.11.2017, within a time limit to be fixed by this Court. 5.Recording the above said submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.11.2017, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to say that, the petitioner shall forward a copy of the representation along with the copy of this order passed by this Court to the second respondent, to enable him to comply with the directions of this Court, within the stipulated period.
