O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 13.12.2025 and 03.02.2026 and to initiate proceedings for acquisition of the remaining 560 sq.ft. of undivided share (UDS) and payment of fair compensation in accordance with law, particularly under Section 94 of the RFCTLARR Act, 2013, within a time to be stipulated by this Court and to grant reasonable time to vacate the flats as deemed fit by this Court.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Page No. 3 of 7
3. The petitioners are flat owners and residents of "Sankar Abodes - Crown Block", situated at T.S.Nos.10 and 18, Block 37, Ward F, Devadhanam Village, Tiruchirappalli East Taluk. Acquisition proceedings have been initiated for the construction of a Road Over Bridge (RoB) at Devadhanam Village. The challenge made to the said acquisition proceedings, up to the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, ended against the petitioners and the other residents and the acquisition has attained finality.
4. Thereafter, the fifth respondent issued a notice dated 30.01.2026 directing the residents to vacate the premises on or before 02.02.2026. Therefore, the petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents to determine and pay fair compensation and also to grant reasonable time to vacate the flats.
5. It is not in dispute that the petitioners undertook to vacate the premises on or before 20th February 2026. Now, the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that there are school-going children and at this juncture, searching for new premises would adversely affect their examinations.

Keeping the above in view, and considering the submission of the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first to fifth respondents that the execution of the project has already been affected, as a last opportunity, the petitioners shall vacate the premises on or before 10th April 2026. No further extension shall be granted under any circumstances.
7. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
