The Civil Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking orders to condone the delay of 61 days in filing the appeal against the award, dated 16.10.2024 in E.C.No.21 of 2016 on the file of the Commissioner for Employees Compensation Court (Joint Commissioner of Labour) Madurai.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the respondents 1 to 4 and also perused the records.

4.The learned counsel for the respondents filed a counter affidavit disputing the petitioner's averments and raised objections for condoning the delay. 5.Considering the reasons assigned and also taking note of the quantum of delay, this Court is inclined to condone the delay. Accordingly, this petition is ordered and the Registry is directed to take the appeal on file, if it is otherwise in order and list the matter in the usual course.
