... Respondents PRAYER:- Contempt petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the contemnor /respondents for their willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.138 of 2015, dated 23.11.2018.

Prayer in WP(MD). 138/ 2015 :

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle the retirement benefits, gratuity, commutation of pension, earned salary and all benefits incidental to his retirement and pension with 12% interest per annum for the belated payment from the date of his retirement to the petitioner.

ORDER

Heard Mr.M.Veilkaniraju, Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner and Mr.AL.Kannan, Learned Counsel appearing for the Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

The Contempt Petition is prosecuted for non-compliance of the order dated 23.11.2018 in W.P. (MD) No.138 of 2015, in which a direction had been issued to the Respondents to settle the retirement benefits of the Petitioner.

Learned Counsel for the Respondents has filed a typed-set with a copy of the order in File No.M-31/2/2014-Estt/D. dated 08.04.2021 passed by the First Respondent settling the retirement benefits to the Petitioner in furtherance to the order dated 23.11.2018 in W.P. (MD) No.138 of 2015 passed by this Court, which is placed on record. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner has acknowledged its receipt. Nothing remains for further consideration in the matter. 4.
