8.Petchimuthu 9.M.Narayana Nadar ..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent Nos.1 to 6 to initiate appropriate action against the 7th respondent for abusing her power and committed irregularity in cutting down of trees in Poramboke land under the jurisdiction of 7th respondent panchayat in violation of Rule 7(3) of Tamil Nadu Panchayath Rules 2001, on the basis of the representation dated 17.02.2022.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking Mandamus directing the respondent Nos.1 to 6 to initiate appropriate action against the 7th respondent for abusing her power and committed irregularity in cutting down of trees in Poramboke land under the jurisdiction of 7th respondent panchayat in violation of Rule 7(3) of Tamil Nadu Panchayath Rules 2001, on the basis of the representation dated 17.02.2022.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has submitted a representation to the respondents 1 to 6 to seeking action against of the seventh respondent alleging that the husband of the seventh respondent i.e., eighth respondent had cut several trees standing on the water body poramboke land situated within the jurisdiction of the seventh respondent panchayat, at the instigation of the seventh respondent, and sold the same to the ninth respondent. However, the same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 6, on instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered within a stipulated time.

Considering the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the official respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.02.2022 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the parties concerned.
