[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the Petitioner's daughter namely, M.Nagalakshmi, aged about 20 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.The Petitioner would state that his daughter has been studying B.Sc Second Year at Government College at Ramanathapuram https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
H.C.P.(MD) No.357 of 2021 and she is found missing from 22.2.2021. Hence he lodged a complaint with the second respondent on the next day and the same was registered in Crime No.62 of 2021. But no effective steps have been taken to secure the detenue. Hence this Habeas Corpus Petition. 4.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the detenue was produced by the second respondent through videoconferencing from the Public Prosecutor's Office. The Petitioner was also present. The learned Standing counsel for the State appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would state that the detenue has already married the third respondent and the same was accepted by the Petitioner. The Petitioner has also stated that he is accepting the marriage of his daughter Nagalakshmi with the third respondent. 5.In the light of the above statement made on either side, we are of the opinion that no further adjudication is required in this Habeas Corpus Petition and accordingly, the same stands closed.
