Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to record the classification of lands in Survey No. 17/1 in Karenthelpatti Village, Thirukalapatti Panchayat, Mathavarayanpatti Group, Thirupathur Taluk, Sivagangai District from the classification of Quarry Other Types to Government Land other Puramboke in the revenue records as per the classification followed by the Registration Department guideline for value of the property by 01.02.2024, within the period as stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that steps 2/5

are being taken to issue patta in favour of the first petitioner and the third petitioner as per G.O(Ms)No.318 dated 30.08.2019. As regards the second petitioner / R.Meena, it is stated that since she is not residing in the petition mentioned site, her request for issuance of patta cannot be granted.

2.The patta to be given for the respondents 1 and 3 is 3 cents alone. The fifth respondent is directed to expedite the steps to be taken in favor of the respondents 1 and 3. As regards the second petitioner, the decision of the fifth respondent shall be formally communicated in writing so that the second petitioner can challenge the same in the manner known to law.

3.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
