This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents herein to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb on the basis of his representation dated 14.03.2018.
2.Mr.M.Karuppasamy, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 3.According to the petitioner, his wife is indulging in illicit contacts with some other persons. When the same was questioned by the petitioner, his wife threatened the petitioner with dire consequences. Hence, he made a representation dated 14.03.2018 to the respondents, seeking police protection. Since no action has been taken on the petitioner's representation, this writ petition has been filed with the aforesaid prayer. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the said petitioner's representation has been received by the respondents and till date no order has been passed.

5.Considering the submissions made by both parties, this Court, without expressing any opinion on merits, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.03.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to the parties concerned. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
