The petitioner has submitted a representation with regard to the appointment of a fit person from the Board of Trustees or from the Committee members of management of the Arulmighu Muppidathi Temple, Veeravanallur, Tirunelveli District has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 19.10.2023 and to pass orders for appointment of a fit person from the Trustees or from the committee members.

2.Today(28.02.2024), when this writ petition is taken up for admission, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents based on the written instructions, dated 27.02.2024 submits that on the representation of this petitioner, dated 19.10.2023, the Joint Commissioner has contemplated an enquiry and a decision would be taken soon.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader that enquiry has already been contemplated by considering the petitioner's representation, it is open to the petitioner to appear before the Joint Commissioner, HR & CE Department, Palayamkottai/the second respondent herein to address his grievance and the Joint Commissioner shall take a decision on merits and pass orders as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
