O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to direct the first respondent to withdraw the case in Crime No.01/2022 pending on the file of the second respondent and entrust the same to the fourth respondent for fair investigation and direct to file a final report within a time frame fixed by this court.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent police has not conducted the investigation in a proper manner. The case of the petitioner is that the accused has received money under the guise of obtaining a seat for his daughter in the Ramachandra Medical College. Though a case has been registered in Crime No.01 of 2022, the third Respondent has not filed the final report and also he is attempting to obtain a statement from the petitioner and his 2/5

wife to close the case.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) on instructions from the respondent police submits that the investigation is almost completed and final report would be filed soon. 4.This Court has considered the rival submissions made. 5.Considering the facts and circumstance of this case, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Madurai City, to monitor the investigation and shall also ensure that the investigation is conducted in a fair manner and the final report is filed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
