ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent to complete the investigation in First Information Report in connection with the Crime No.339 of 2024 pending on the file of the respondent police.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the de facto complainant in this case and based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.339 of 2024 was registered for the offences under Sections 191(2), 191(3), 296(b), 118(1), 329(4) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and thereafter, no proper investigation was conducted and the respondent police so far have not filed any final report. Therefore, the petition is filed by the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint given by this petitioner, they registered a case in Crime No.339 of 2024 for the offences under Sections 2/5

191(2), 191(3), 296(b), 118(1), 329(4) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Since the case is between the family members, they have to conduct elaborate investigation and the investigation is still pending. However, they will complete the investigation and file final report within two months.

4. In view of the above said representation of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent and recording the same, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation and to file final report within a period of two (2) months from the date of this order.
