O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate(Special Court for Land Grabbing), Tuticorin, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.1 of 2016 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate(Special Court for Land Grabbing), Turicorin, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a case was registered in Crime No.26 of 2012 for the offences under Sections 419, 468, 471, 420 and 120(b) I.P.C. He further submitted that though the criminal complaint was registered on 19.05.2012, Charge Sheet has been filed now and the case was taken on file in C.C.No.1 of 2016.

4. Having regard to the specific allegations about the forgery and impersonation with reference to specific documents, this Court is of the view that the criminal case can be completed after full trial within a reasonable time. this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The learned Judicial Magistrate(Special Court for Land Grabbing), Turicorin, is directed to expedite the trial in C.C.No.1 of 2016 and to dispose of the same within a period of one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

5. The Criminal Original petition is allowed, as indicated above.
