This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.387 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sivakasi.

2. The case is one alleging offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. The sole grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has appeared through counsel before the Court below in answer to summons and such Court has called upon him to produce sureties for his appearance.

3. This Criminal Original Petition shall stand disposed of with the observation that the Court below shall proceed with the case without requiring the petitioner to produce any surety.
