Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining the impugned order in Na.Ka.Mo.18963/2020/Aa3 passed by the 1st respondent on 08.10.2020 and set aside the same and consequently, direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 05.02.2021. ORDER

The first respondent, by proceedings dated 08.10.2020, initiated recovery proceedings, based on the order dated 21.08.2020, passed by the Controlling Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972. Challenging the same, the petitioner Mill has filed this writ petition.

2. Today, when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate, by placing the proceedings of the petitioner Mill dated 19.10.2022, submits that the gratuity amount along with interest as on 30.06.2022 for thirty (30) retired workers has been settled. The cheques for payment and the acknowledgment are also placed before this Court. 2/4
