O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to issue verification certificate in respect of passport on the petitioner's application No. MD1070134964717 based on representation dated 17.03.2018.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner has made an application, dated 17.03.2018
to the respondents 2 and 3 to issue verification certificate in respect of petitioner's passport application No. MD1070134964717. Sofar, no order has been passed by the respondent police and hence, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
4. According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner has to co-operate and has to fill up the verification form that has been issued by the third respondent. Therefore, if the petitioner co-operate and sign in the said form, the respondents will consider the application on merits and pass appropriate orders.
5. The learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner undertakes to appear before the third respondent police on 06.04.2018 and also sign the relevant forms prescribed by the third respondent.
6. In the light of the above submission made by both the parties, this Court, without expressing any opinion on merits, directs the petitioner to appear before the third respondent on 06.04.2018 at about 11.00 a.m. and the third respondent shall issue necessary forms and the same shall be filled up by the petitioner, immediately. On receipt of the report from the third respondent, the second respondent shall consider the said application and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, in any event on or before 13.04.2018.
7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
