This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection for conducting Kida Muttu (Goats Fight) scheduled to be held on 08.04.2018 at Kondaiyampettai, Thiruvanaikovil, Tirchy as a part of the Eraniamman temple festival, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 22.02.2018 to the respondents to grant permission and protection for conducting Kida Muttu (Goats Fight) scheduled to be held on 08.04.2018 at Kondaiyampettai, Thiruvanaikovil, Tirchy as a part of the Eraniamman temple festival. As no order has been passed in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation is still pending with the third respondent. Therefore, this Court may pass appropriate orders to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law.

5.Considering the submission made by both parties, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 07.04.2018. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
