O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's statutory appeal dated 31.01.2026 under Section 18 of Arms Act, 1959, within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has filed a statutory appeal dated 31.01.2026 as against the order of the 2nd respondent dated 19.01.2026 under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959. Since the said appeal was not disposed of till date, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner dated 31.01.2026 would be disposed of in accordance with law. 2/4

5. In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's statutory appeal dated 31.01.2026, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of ten (10) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
