This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the application in O.A.No.20 of 2024. 1/4
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the second respondent has filed an application in O.A.No.20 of 2024 before the first respondent seeking the relief of sustaining the first honour, namely, Periya Velliya Thevar Pattam, in his favour. However, the said application is still pending. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent would submit that the application in O.A.No.20 of 2024 would be disposed of in accordance with law.
4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the application in O.A.No.20 of 2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
