ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondent to promote the petitioner to the post of Road Inspector Grade II, by considering his representations, dated 04.10.2017 and 16.10.2017.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent fairly submitted that the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Road Inspector Grade II, will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

3. In view of the said submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representations, dated 04.10.2017 and 16.10.2017, on merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
