ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to enlarge the petitioner/accused on bail in Crime No.03 of 2022 in C.C.No.48 of 2022, Additional District Judge of Principal Special Court to EC and NDPS Act Cases, Thanjavur, on the file of the respondent Police.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that only three more witnesses remains to be examined and within two weeks, the trial process will be completed by the trial Court.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that some of the witnesses turned hostile.

4. But however, since only two more witnesses to be examined and on the basis of the undertaking given by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition stands dismissed. The trial Court is directed to complete the trial process within two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Even though the in-charge Judge is holding the Court now, the in-charge Judge may take care of this matter.
