O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to issue necessary orders to delete impounded entry in all records and website of the Emigration Authorities/Passport Authorities at Madurai based on the order of this Court passed in Crl.R.C.(MD) No.61 of 2017 dated 09.08.2017 with regard tof the petitioner.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent on 22.02.2018, requesting the All Women Police Station to send a clearance report for the petitioner's passport to the Emigration Authorities, Madurai Airport, based on the order made in Crl.R.C(MD) No.617 of 2017 dated 09.08.2017. The said representation is still pending and no order has been passed. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner that though the petitioner has prayed for the above said prayer, he restricted his request that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2018 within a time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the the said representation is pending and the same shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

4. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the records placed before this Court.

5. In view of the of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on merits, in the interest of justice, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 22.02.2018 on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing opportunity to the parties concerned.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
