Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.12.2023 to issue patta in the name of the Arulmigu Sri Kurunthudaya Ayyanar temple in S.No.332/10, 333/1, 341/3, 391/23, of Adhanur village Thirumayam taluk of Pudukkottai District.

ORDER
When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader clarified that appropriate changes will be made in the revenue record so as to reflect the name of the temple. If the land had been granted as service inam, of course the name of the service holder will also be incorporated in the revenue record. It is made clear that the land should always be shown as endowed in favour of the temple. In other words, no private transaction in respect of the said land can be permitted. Such changes will be made by the fourth respondent within a period of five weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
