: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1, 5 and 8 to evict all the illegal encroachments within the water spread survey fields mentioned in the application dated 23.11.2016, in accordance with law.

2. This writ petition, in public interest, has been filed seeking a direction on the respondents 1, 5 and 8 to remove all the illegal encroachments within the water spread survey fields mentioned in the application dated 23.11.2016, in accordance with law.

3. After hearing the respective parties, the Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the eighth respondent/Tahsildar to cause an inspection of the water body in question, within a fortnight from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any encroachment is found, respondent authorities shall take action in accordance with law, after giving notice to all concerned and remove the encroachments. The entire proceedings shall be completed at the earliest, preferably within two months from the date of inspection. No costs.
