Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay the electric bill charges for the period 2007 to May 2017 to the tune of Rs.1,22,466/- for this service No.342009246 and the water charges with Tuticorin Corporation, Tuticorin in water charges service No.46058 within a period of one month.

ORDER

According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the house building property in Door No.34, Muniasamypuram, Tuticorin. Earlier, it was leased out to the first respondent for running hostel. Thereafter, the first respondent vacated the premises in the month of May, 2017, and handed over the possession to the petitioner. As per the lease agreement, the first respondent should pay the electricity charges and water charges. But, he did not pay the same. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent on 12.02.2018 to pay the amount. But, so far no action has been taken, hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 2.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's request, and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
