ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2, more particularly, the second respondent, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2026 and make necessary corrections in the patta document with regard to the measurements of the petitioner's property bearing Survey No.239/1A, subdivided as 239/1A17, in accordance with the sale deed dated 23.09.1987.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the lawful owner of the subject property by virtue of a registered sale deed dated 23.09.1987. It is submitted that there is an error in the patta with regard to the measurements of the property, which is inconsistent with the extent mentioned in the registered sale deed. In order to rectify the discrepancy, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation on 22.01.2026 before the second respondent
requesting necessary corrections in the revenue records. However, despite receipt of the said representation, the second respondent has not taken any action till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2026, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
