O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to file a final report in Crime No.12 of 2016 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner preferred a complaint on 09.07.2016 and that though a case was registered in Crime No.12 of 2016 for the offence under Sections 498(A), 294(b), 406 and 506(ii) of I.P.C., and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002, there was no further progress in the case and Charge Sheet is yet to be filed.

4. The learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) however, on instructions submitted that though the Charge Sheet was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Kovilpatti, the same was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

returned, for some defects. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) therefore seeks indulgence to give two months time so as to enable the respondent police to see that the Charge Sheet is taken on file.

5. Hence, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- " The second respondent is directed to see that the final report filed by him before the jurisdictional Magistrate is taken on file within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

6. The Criminal Original petition is allowed, as indicated above.
