This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondents to give an effective police protection to the petitioner and his family members on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner on 18.03.2014. 2.The petitioner seeks police protection to his life and his family members through a representation dated 18.03.2014. Now, 4-1/2 years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now.
