O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.43 of 2016, dated 02.12.2016 and to file final report with appropriate Sections, within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondent.

3. The petitioner states that he has been falsely implicated by the respondent police in a criminal case in Crime No.43 of 2016 for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 341, 506(i), 406 and 420 I.P.C. It is further stated that though the case was registered in the year 2016, the respondent police did not take action to investigate into the case and kept the matter pending against the petitioner. It is in these circumstances, the petitioner who has been shown as second accused in the criminal https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

case, has approached this Court for a direction.

4. The learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) however on instructions submitted that investigation is almost completed and that final report is likely to be filed within a period of two months.

5. Recording the said statement of the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side), this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- "The respondent herein is directed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.43 of 2016 and to file final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

6. The Criminal Original petition is allowed, as indicated above.
