Prayer: Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to bring the petitioners services under special time scale of pay with effect from 01.10.2014 by considering the proceeding of the Respondent No.3 dated 12.10.2014 in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.385, Finance (Salary) Department, Dated 01.10.2010 on the file of the second respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
Heard the learned counsel on either side. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2.The petitioners are working as Sanitary Workers on consolidated pay in various Primary Health Centers in Sivagangai District. They come under the control of the fourth respondent. The petitioners have been representing to the Government for regularizing their services and bringing the same under regular time scale of pay.
The second respondent had issued G.O.Ms.No.385, Finance (Salary) Department, dated 01.10.2010 for bringing those workers working on consolidated pay for more than three years under special time scale of pay. In fact, the principle of equal pay for equal work is very much applicable to this case.
3.The third respondent is therefore directed to consider the petitioners' case and pass appropriate orders with regard to the conferment of special time scale of pay as per the Government Orders currently in force. Such orders shall be passed in the case of the petitioners within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
