O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed for a direction, directing the second respondent not to harass the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner states that when he was a minor, he was implicated in a criminal case and he was released thereafter. It is further stated that he has been called for an enquiry and the respondent police have visited the house of the petitioner, in search of the petitioner under the guise of enquiry just to harass.

4. The learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) however on instructions submitted that the petitioner is a history sheeted rowdy and that only to know regarding his whereabouts, the enquiry has been conducted. He further submitted that there was no harassment.

5. Considering the grievance of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- "The second respondent police is directed not to harass the petitioner unnecessarily. Even if the presence of the petitioner is required for any enquiry, the same shall be done only after issuing summons prescribing date and time and in the manner known to law."

6. With the above observation, the Criminal Original petition is closed.
