Mr.K.V.Rajarajan Government Advocate(Crl.side) O R D E R The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents herein to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members in such an endangered situation.

2.The petitioner, who is 7th Ward Councilor of Rajapalayam Municipality, informs of suffering repeated attacks owing to his having questioned transfer of a recreation club without his consent despite he having been the Joint Secretary thereof.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner informs that though the second respondent registered a case on the complaint of the petitioner, such respondent has acted in favour of the accused by registering cases for lesser offences.

4. We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.

5. On consideration of rival submissions this Court directs the first respondent to afford police protection to the petitioner for a period of one month from today at his cost and through an agency other than the second respondent.
