ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking to direct the respondent to promote the petitioner as Grade I Police constable and further promotion of Head Constable from the date on which the petitioner Juniors were given promotion with all consequential benefits, by considering his representation dated 16.10.2018.
2. Mr. S. Angappan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has made a representation dated 16.10.2018 to the respondents for the claim made in this Writ Petition and the same is pending without any consideration. Hence, this Writ Petition.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent fairly submitted that the respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the scope of the prayer made by the petitioner and considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.10.2018 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
