Respondent Prayer: This Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to directing the respondent to include the second wife's name S.Annathai as a nominee and to remove the first wife's name G.Vasanthi from the petitioner's Service Register on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 11.12.2017 within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.By consent of both the parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner is employed in the respondent/Corporation. He got married to one Vasanthi. The said marriage has since been dissolved by order dated 19.12.2014 in H.M.O.P.No.147 of 2014, on the file of the Sub Court, Theni. The petitioner now wants to include the name of his present wife S.Annathai. Since the petitioner's earlier marriage with Vasanthi had been dissolved in the manner known to law, there cannot be any objection for including the name of the said S.Annathai as the petitioner's nominee in the Service Register.

4.The respondent is directed to include the name of his second wife S.Annathai as a nominee in the Service Register in the place of G.Vasanthi forthwith.
