O R D E R

The Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the contemnor/ third respondent for his willful disobedience to comply with the order of this Court passed in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.17108 of 2024 dated 14.10.2024.

2. In pursuance of the directions of this Court, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur has submitted a report dated 27.03.2025 stating that the concerned police has filed the final report through e-filing on 03.03.2025 and that since the investigating officer has excluded some of the accused from the final report, notice was ordered to be issued to the petitioner/defacto complainant and in pursuance of the same, the petitioner had appeared before the Court and sought time to file his objections and the case stands posted to 08.04.2025.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that they have already filed the protest petition and the same is pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Melur.

4. Status report filed by the contemnor.

5. Considering the above, this Contempt Petition stands closed. The petitioner is at liberty to proceed with the protest petition and the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur is directed to conduct necessary enquiry in the protest petition filed by the petitioner and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
