ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The case of the petitioner is that old Survey No.12/6, Nagamathi Village was a patta land and it was erroneously classified as "water catchment area" during UDR. Out attention is drawn to the communication dated 27.07.2023 sent by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Devakottai to District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai in this regard. All that the petitioner wants is that the said proceedings should be concluded expeditiously. 3.We consciously refrain from going into the merits of the matter. It is seen from the settlement register that Survey No.12/07 is classified as "Neerpedi" whereas Survey No.12/06 was shown as a "patta land". Be that as it may, the first respondent is directed to conclude the petition mentioned proceedings on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
