This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament from 20.01.2018 at night 12.00a.m, to 21.01.2018 at after noon 12.00pm., at play ground, Kovilutru, Tirunelveli District. 2.Heard, Mr.S.Selvakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the Villagers of the Kovilutru Village. The villagers are conducting the Kabadi Tournament in every year and this year, they have decided to conduct the Kabadi Tournament on 20.01.2018 and 21.01.2018. Hence, he seeks police protection for the same.

4.The learned Government Advocate has submitted that the respondent will consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders.

5.Considering the said submissions, the respondent/ Inspector of Police, Kadayam Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and dispose of the same on or before 18.01.2018.
