ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st to 4th respondents to offer the petitioner a government job of any sub-ordinate class / category in TWAD Board, in the light of readily giving away of 50 cents of land belonging to his family located in Survey Numbers-243/1B,243/2B and 243/3 in Mannadimangalam village, Vadipatti tk., Madurai DT., for the public purpose of providing drinking water facilities to people of 99 villages of Vadipatty and Challampatti union of Madurai District, quantified at 16 lac litres per day, without receipt of any compensation, by effectively considering the petitioner's representation, dated 10.10.2018 within the time frame as may be stipulated by this Court.
2.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By Consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's representation seeking Government Job in lieu of the land acquired by the respondent, has not been considered sofar. Having left with no other option, the petitioner is before this Court, seeking appropriate direction to the respondents. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits and appropriate orders would be passed by the respondents.
5.Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.10.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
