: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to undertake the administration and management of the temple known as "Ottrai Panaimarathu Kaliamman Temple" in accordance with the provisions of the Tamil Nadu HR&CE Act by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.04.2018. ORDER
B.PUGALENDHI,J It is the case of the petitioner that one Subramanian is administering a temple and that he is not permitting the petitioner and others worshipping the said temple. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation and thereafter filed the Public Interest Litigation for a direction to the respondents herein to take over the temple.
2. In the opinion of this Court, the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Act is a self-contained Code and a mandamus of this nature in a public interest litigation cannot be issued. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed with liberty to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
