This petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to grant permission to conduct the "Mega Star Night Show" to be held on 28.01.2018 at 04.00pm., at Sri Sakthi Vinayaga Matric Higher Secondary School backside, Surulipatti Road Ground, Cumbum, Theni District and further provide adequate police protection to the festival on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2018.

2.Heard, Mr.P.R.Prithiviraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that every year during Pongal Festival the petitioner conducts 'Mega Star Night'. Likewise, in this year also, the petitioner has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

a proposal to conduct 'Mega Star Night' on 28.01.2018 and for that, he gave a representation on 02.01.2018 to the second respondent. But, so far, the said representation has not been considered by the second respondent.

4.The learned Government Advocate has not raised any serious objection.

5.Considering the above said submission, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 02.01.2018 and dispose of the same within a week. 6.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
