PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to call for the records pertaining to the FIR in Crime No.58 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Karungal Police Station, Kanniyakumari District.

ORDER

The petitioner/Accused (Sole) filed this petition to quash the FIR in Crime No.58 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Karungal Police Station, Kanyakumari District, wherein he is said to have committed offence under Sections 294(b), 342, 354, 420, 387 and 506(ii) IPC.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 13.03.2020, the defacto complainant went to the petitioner office and went with him to Kurumbanai Paarikal Bech to meet a bank manager. There the petitioner misbehaved with the defacto complainant and threatened the defacto complainant and robed her hand bag along with two sovereign gold chain. Hence, the defacto complainant preferred a complaint before the respondent police and the same was registered in Crime No.58 of 2020 for the above said offence and to quash the same, the petitioner filed this petition.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent would submit

that the investigation in Crime No.58 of 2020 has been completed and charge sheet has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Eranial and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.180 of 2022.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner work out his remedy in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
