Civil Miscellaneous petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to grant extension of interim stay for a further period of twelve weeks time to fulfill the direction given by the Hon`ble High Court vide C.M.P.(MD).No.708 of 2024 in C.M.A.(MD).No.45 of 2024 dated 23-01-2024.

Civil Miscellaneous Appeal filed under Section 173 of Motor Vehicle Act to set aside the fair and decretal order passed in M.C.O.P.No.142 of 2018 on the file of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal / District Court, Karur dated 08.03.2022 and allow this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal.

ORDER : This Civil Miscellaneous petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.N.MUTHU VIJAYAN, Special Government Pleader for the petitioners and of Mr.V.NAGARAJAN, Advocate on behalf of the Respondents 2 to 3, the Court made the following order:- By Order, dated 23.01.2024, this Court has granted conditional interim order to deposit 50% of the award amount, on or before 21.02.2024. But the petitioners herein/appellants have failed to comply with the Order of this Court.

2. The petitioners/appellants have filed this extension petition.

3. Accepting the averments, this petition is allowed and this Court is granting time until 25.03.2024 to the petitioners/appellants to comply with the order of this Court. Further extension of time will not be granted. 2/3

4. Post the matter on 25.03.2024.
