ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to prepare the permanent seniority list, by considering his representations, dated 28.09.2018, 15.10.2018, 27.03.2019 and 22.04.2019. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for hearing at the stage of admission.

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Junior Assistant cum Computer Operator on 12.10.2007 and he was

subsequently, promoted as Assistant in regular scheme on 01.07.2017 and it was informed that his post of Junior Assistant cum Computer Operator is in self-financing category. Since his juniors were promoted and promotion to him was denied by stating the above mentioned reason, the petitioner submitted a representation, dated 28.09.2018 to the respondents, followed by reminders, dated 15.10.2018, 27.03.2019 and 22.04.2019, seeking to prepare the revised seniority list. However, the same have not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the first respondent on merits.

5.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.09.2018 seeking to prepare the revised seniority list and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
