ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Special Court for the Exclusive Trial of Cases registered under the SC/ST (POA) Act, Ramanathapuram, to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day of their surrender itself in Crime No.19 of 2026 on the file of the second respondent police.

2. Considering the nature of the relief sought for, notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

3. The case of the prosecution is that on 08.02.2026 when the defacto complainant parked his two-wheeler and went for collecting honey, the accused persons quarreled with him and humiliated him by uttering the community name and also attacked him by using hands. 2/5

Based on these allegations, an FIR has been registered against the petitioner.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court hereby direct the learned Special Court for the Exclusive Trial of Cases registered under the SC/ST (POA) Act, Ramanathapuram, to issue prior notice to the de facto complainant and thereafter to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day of their surrender before that Court in connection with Crime No.19 of 2026 on the file of the 2nd respondent police.
