ORDER

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The petitioner seeks limited relief of issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pass orders on his petition dated 12.10.2023 for mutation of patta in his name.

3.The petitioner claims under his deceased father, who was the absolute owner of the property. Though an application was made by the petitioner on 12.07.2023, the same is pending without any progress and in and by the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks only a direction to the respondents to pass orders and to consequently mutate patta in the name of the petitioner. There appears to be no rival claims over the subject property and the petitioner is claiming right only pursuant to the demise of his father. 2/4

4.In view of the above, the competent authority being the respondents 2 and 3, the second respondent/third respondent shall pass orders on the petitioner's petition dated 12.10.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
