ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed, seeking a direction to the 5th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2022 and carry out necessary corrections in the documents bearing No.310 and second schedule of property in Document No.311 of 2009 on the file of Sub Registrar, Alanganallur, Madurai, wherein the survey number is to be rectified as 104/2B1 instead of Survey No.104/2A2 within the stipulated time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.It is the grievance of the petitioners that they purchased the property through registered documents in Doc.Nos.310 and 311 of 2009. However, in Doc.No.310 of 2009, the survey number has been wrongly stated as Survey No.104/2A2 and the correct one is S.No.104/2B1. Hence, the petitioner gave a 2/5

representation to the authorities to rectify the survey number. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioners have filed this Writ Petition. 3.At the outset, this Court is of the view that this Writ Petition is misconceived and cannot be entertained for the simple reason that once registration is completed, the registering authority has no right whatsoever to rectify or carry out any mistake in the registered documents. If at the petitioners have any grievance, it is for them to register a rectification deed to be executed by their vendor.

4.With the above observation, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
