is submitted that one Dr.S.Vasudevan was appointed as the Project Director. Projects are to be entrusted and fellowship amounts will be remitted by the concerned entities with the respondent university and only through the respondent university, fellowship amounts will be disbursed to the individual associates. The grievance of the petitioners is that they had already completed their projects. Arrears of substantial sums of money is due and payable to them by the University.
2.The learned standing counsel appearing for the university would submit that no doubt the petitioners have worked in more than one project. But, then on account of sudden demise of Dr.Vasudevan, Project Director, it is not known at the behest of which agency the projects were undertaken. Therefore, the representations of the petitioners were rejected as the details of the projects could not be unravelled. As and when the university is in receipt of the funds from the project sponsors, fellowship amounts will be duly disbursed.
3.Since disputed facts are involved, this Court is unable to issue a positive direction straight away in the first instance. However, it is the duty of the respondent to consider the petitioners' representation and pass orders thereon. The case of the petitioners herein will be considered on consolidated basis and appropriate orders shall be passed by the respondent within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.These writ petitions are disposed of accordingly. No costs.
