This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to revalidate or reissue and hand over the accident compensation cheque for Rs.50,000/- to the petitioner by disposing the representation dated 17.11.2025.

2.By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner met with an accident on 04.03.2020 and he was sanctioned with a sum of Rs.50,000/- as compensation by the office of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Vellore, by way of Cheque No. 832319 dated 01.12.2023. Due to some administrative reason, there was some delay in handing over the cheque to the petitioner and the validity period of the cheque got expired. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 17.11.2025, requesting to revalidate or reissue the cheque. Since the said representation is pending consideration, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

4.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondents in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.11.2025 and re-issue the cheque, within a 3/6

period of four [4] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
