JUDGMENT

************** [Judgment of the Court was delivered by M.S.RAMESH, J.] Challenge is made to the order of the learned Single Judge dated 18.08.2023 in W.P.(MD)No.9765 of 2023. 2.The issue as to whether prior permission for obtaining additional higher qualification by a Teacher from the educational authorities has been settled through various decisions of this Court including in the case of the Joint Director of School Education and others Vs. S.Vasugi and another in W.A.(MD)No.1124 of 2/5

2023 dated 24.07.2023, holding that such prior permission for obtaining higher educational qualification is not required. 3.Learned Single Judge has placed reliance on the case of S.Vasugi [cited supra] and had allowed the Writ Petition by quashing the rejection order of the Chief Educational Officer. Since the law has been well settled in this regard, we do not find any infirmity or illegality in the order of the learned Single Judge. Hence, there are no merits in this Writ Appeal. 4.Accordingly, this Writ Appeal fails and the same is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
