This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to take action against the 4th respondent, based upon the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 29.09.2017. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has

submitted that the petitioner has borrowed some amount from the fourth respondent and he has repaid major portion of the debt. But, the fourth respondent is demanding more interest and hence, it is an offence under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Charging Exorbitant Interest Act, 2003. Hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent, but, sofar, no action has been taken. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent has submitted that the complaint, which was given before the second respondent was forwarded to the third respondent and the same is pending before the third respondent for enquiry. 5.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the third respondent/Inspector of Police, Taluk Police Station, Tiruvarur, Thiruvarur District is directed to enquire the matter and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then, he has to register a case and proceed with the same in accordance with the law.

6. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
